GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The Assistant Director of Recruitment provides oversight and leads in the development of recruitment and retention functions that contribute to the success of the AHRC Suffolk mission.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
Under the supervision of the People Experience Director, an employee of this class will lead, manage, inspire and motivate a team of recruiters to deliver against recruiting goals that support both short and long-term initiatives. Drive goals directly related to enhancing the agency staffing, increasing visibility in the community, and staying top of mind for all applicants.
ILLUSTRATIVE FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
· Consult with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs.
· Collaborate with departments to develop appropriate talent acquisition and sourcing strategies, including the creation of effective job postings and position descriptions, as well as ad placement strategies.
· Execute proactive approach to recruitment, keeping abreast with applicable trends and best practices.
· Develop and manage recruiting marketing channels including: online employment sites, job boards, on-campus recruiting, staffing agencies and professional networks; manage relationships with key contacts.
· Builds professional relationships with college and university placement offices and with professional associations as a source to generate qualified applicants.
· Provide guidance and coaching to hiring managers related to interviewing and on-boarding.
· Manage resume database and build critical recruitment metrics such as: days-to-fill, turnover and source distribution.
Work on various projects related to recruitment and employment including employment surveys and benchmark studies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, five years high volume recruitment experience and a minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required. Advanced computer skills required.
