What are the responsibilities and job description for the Android Developer position at Ahrefs?
Ahrefs is looking for a mobile application developer to work on the application for our search engine on the Android and iOS platforms. In this role, you will be closely working with our Product Design and QA teams to build an ergonomic user interface.
Basic Requirements:
- Strong experience in Android development
- Willingness to learn iOS development
The ideal candidate is expected to:
- Translate design mock-ups into live application screens
- Test for cross-device and backward compatibility
- Understand business needs and user behaviour, and propose UI/UX improvements
- Write robust, clean and modular code, and adapt to post-launch requirements/tweaks
- Follow modern mobile development best practices
- Be ready to work in a small team and take responsible, independent decisions
- Approach problems with a practical mindset and suppress perfectionism when time is a priority
