Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment to ensure patient safety.
Central Sterile Processing needed for busy surgery dept. 3-1130pm
Duties:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical packs accurately
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sonic cleaners
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reorder as needed
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infections
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience in sterile processing techniques preferred
- Proficiency in inventory management within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology for effective communication
