Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Lead to join our dynamic and mission-driven team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding our machine learning initiatives and overseeing the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions aimed at improving elder care. You will lead a team of talented machine learning engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the strategic direction of our AI projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning algorithms focused on real-time health monitoring and emergency alert systems for the elderly.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of machine learning engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Utilize pattern recognition, sensor fusion, and neural network techniques to extract meaningful insights from diverse health data sources.
  • Oversee the analysis of large datasets relevant to elder care scenarios, ensuring the development of reliable and effective machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to refine statistical models and design algorithmic solutions addressing key challenges in elder care.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of machine learning models, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and real-world applicability.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and implement privacy-respecting methods when handling sensitive health data.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies, and drive the adoption of best practices within the team.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing machine learning projects, preferably within the healthcare or elder care domain.
  • Strong proficiency in developing and deploying machine learning models, with expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar libraries.
  • Deep understanding of neural networks, pattern recognition, and sensor fusion technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and tools for scalable deployment of machine learning solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced machine learning techniques.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and best practices for handling sensitive health data.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions that address real-world challenges in elder care.
