What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial, Planning & Analysis Manager position at AIG?
Reporting to the Manager of Finance – AIG Global Operations, the Senior Associate - AIG200 Operations Finance will work with the global teams involved in establishing and governing the FP&A and budget processes for the AIG 200 program.
Your Contribution
- Team player and collaborator on centralized model building for AIG200 program performance metrics, including cost / benefit analyses and evaluation of internal vs. external spend
- Maintain and update aggregate program financial forecasts, under the guidance of senior team members, in SAP environment for Operation programs within AIG200 charters
- Provide financial guidance on overall program IT strategies and execution to executive sponsors, program owners and program leads
- Conduct proper project related financial due diligence which includes gathering, mining, reconciling, analyzing and reporting data.
- Develop financial reporting and governance analysis for the Operations aspects of the programs
- Develop and run monthly global planning and analytics models for forecast-to-actual variances, and provide useful insight to management;
- Build and develop Excel files with direct SAP BPC data pulls to efficiently update financial results and PowerPoint presentations management reporting and expense analysis
- Write, analyze and review commentary for key business drivers and explaining financial results
- Conduct expense analysis and develop insightful commentary on a monthly basis for effective expense management.
- Coordination with various groups across different functions, businesses, and regions.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis as required to support management decision making.
- Develop quantitative analyses for AIG 200 Finance leadership and the AIG 200 Transformation Management Office, including cost / benefit analysis, actual / forecast variance analysis and other program performance metrics
- Craft presentations for AIG 200 Finance leadership and the AIG 200 Transformation Management Office
- Liaise with personnel in Enterprise FP&A, Expense Management and Controllers as necessary to develop quantitative analyses and presentations
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline
- Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-starter, quick-learner and flexible team-player
- Ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail
- Effective written & oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and management to accomplish objectives
