American Iron & Metal is looking to add a Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team. As an AIM dispatcher, the candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to all accounts while scheduling company drivers to service customers. This is a fast-paced dynamic environment that requires the ability to problem solve and will provide the chance for learning every day.
What you're responsible for:
- Distributing and coordinating customer service calls.
- Communicating between scale operators, yard operations and drivers.
- Directing trucks and providing detailed feedback to scale on quality of material.
- Monitoring driver hours within compliance regulations.
- Planning routes to optimize usage of carriers times.
- Tracking incoming and outgoing orders
- Acting as a key contact for freight providers to ensure cost and service efficiencies
- Ensuring safe operation process and procedures are directed and followed.
- Minimum 2 years of fleet dispatching experience.
- Roll-off and Lugger knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of border crossing and paperwork processes is an asset.
- Knowledge of Transportation Rules and Regulations.
- Knowledge of various types of truck and trailer combinations.
