With exciting business breakthroughs including our recent nationwide launch at all Starbucks locations (https://www.cnet.com/news/starbucks-now-offers-access-to-app-for-blind-low-vision-customers/ ), rollout at over 50 airports and transportation systems, addition of over 20 Universities, Bank of America, Target and now launching in the UK, Aira is expanding! We need to grow our core product team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Life Cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Product Roadmap - manage and evolve Aira’s product roadmap to support Aira’s business strategy and goals.
- Listen, Discover and Engage with the various Customers Aira Serves:
- B2B Access Partners, prospects and existing, in partnership with Aira Sales and Marketing
- B2C Explorers, including prospects, through various feedback mechanisms including
- Insight Groups
- Surveys
- Podcasts
- Marketing event, virtual and in person, when appropriate
- Agents and Agent Management team in partnership with Customer Experience team
- Aira Operations (e.g. Finance)
- Maintain and manage the roadmap with focus on the prioritization of near term, next 3-5 months, user stories, plans and deliverables.
- Listen, Discover and Engage with the various Customers Aira Serves:
- Engage with Product team on a daily basis including Designers, Developers, Testers including people who are blind or low vision and using screen readers.
- Embrace details and nuances of Accessibility by learning and understanding the expectations and behaviors of users who use Screen Readers, Magnification across Mobile (iOS, Android) and Laptops (Windows, Mac).
- Write detailed product specs, draft user flows, communicate project scope effectively, and manage products through development, QA, UA Testing, and launch
- Influence peers and leadership, leveraging insights from various sources, including product performance metrics, research, customer support, and competitor/industry research
- Participate in Access Sales conversations to help close business
Requirements
- Ability to clearly communicate both the product vision and story level details.
- Ability to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating excellent judgement
- Ability to comfortably work in ambiguity and on new projects with lots of unknowns
- Experience in Product or Design, with a focus on software products and technologies
- Passionate about building an awesome customer experience
- Appetite or demonstrated ability to learn Accessibiliity standards, industry and details related to usability and product development.
