ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in designing systems for recording and analyzing product quality levels to assure product adherence to specifications.
- Assists in development of programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing,
- measurement, and analytical equipment.
- Conducts analysis of routine tests and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Participates in materials review activities and the interpretation of product quality trends.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through:
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university and 1 to 7 years related experience or training
- and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
- Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.
- Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs) in its most difficult phases.
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
