The role:
As the Brooklyn Site Manager, your mission is to oversee operations across the Brooklyn facility while extending high-standard services to Upper East Side and Tribeca centers.
Responsibilities include strategic direction, overseeing Laundry Supervisors for resource allocation, establishing standardized processes, and ensuring service delivery of linen to the centers. Focus areas are streamlining operations, fostering excellence, and maintaining top-notch textile quality for unparalleled luxury experiences.
Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations Management
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day laundry operations, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery in adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies, initiating orders when necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Manage the work of supervisors, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Standardize processes, optimize resource allocation, and establish clear priorities across locations under sustainability and respect for the environment.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Responsible for overseeing all contracts and suppliers associated with the operations of the Brooklyn facility, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, clients, and vendors to uphold high-quality service delivery and operational standards.
Financial Oversight and Reporting
- Responsible for the financial performance and budget ensuring cost-effectiveness and fair resource distribution.
- Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, achievements, challenges, and plans for senior management and the Board of Directors.
Safety, Health, and Regulations
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety principles and protocols, including evacuation routes, fire, temperature, etc.; affecting the health and safety of employees.
- Maintain documentation and contracts related to the activity and compliance up to date.
- Generate weekly reports of incidents, improvements, and significant events, and report them to Management.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the facilities to verify that the equipment and installation are functioning correctly.
People Management
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring exceptional service provision across all high-standard locations.
- Provide visionary guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of excellence and luxury service.
- Design and enforce efficient schedules and organizational structures, aiming for optimal results, efficiency, and achievement of objectives within the team, as well as three-shift schedules for the leadership team, including work shifts, holidays, and night work, ensuring adequate coverage for service delivery.
- Guide and oversee Supervisors, in recruitment, training, and evaluation facilitating effective team coverage, performance, and development through continuous supervision and guidance.
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries of materials such as candles, massage oil bottles, and maintenance products to the centers.
- Coordinate the storage and reception of these products in Brooklyn.
Who you are:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager, preferably overseeing multiple locations with luxury laundry service standards or related, responsible for managing its P&L.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operational laundry management.
- Proven track record in financial management, resource allocation, and process standardization in luxury service industries.
