LTL Order Picker

Our first shift starts at 6 am and overtime is mandatory as needed. Starting pay for this position is $18.00 with a possible increase in two and four months based on attendance and performance ( no absences and aquiring the ability to make the required picks per day).

Under general supervision of the LTL warehouse supervisor or other supervisory/management / lead level positions within the company, the LTL picker will be responsible for performing a variety of warehouse-related duties including picking orders and safely stack products on pallets for wrapping and shipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Scan and pick orders using a RF scanner

· Drive the electric pallet jack and collect ordered items throughout the warehouse while ensuring proper items, pack size and quantities are selected.

· Safely stack pallets with heavy products at the bottom.

· Secure pallets using tape and ensure they are safe for wrapping and shipping.

· Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies

· Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

· Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

· Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

· Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities by following safety standards.

· Maintain appropriate attendance standards as well as being available for mandatory overtime and mandatory occasional Saturdays.

· Inspect for damage to forklifts and keep daily inspection logs/water batteries on assigned equipment.

· Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions names and shelf labels.

· Must possess basic mathematical skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.

· Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.

· Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.

· Experience/ability to operate electric pallet jack.

· Ability to use good judgement in order to carry out detailed instructions.

· Previous warehouse experience preferred.

· Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the warehouse.

· Ability to identify workplace hazards.

· Must be able to use box cutter to open boxes of product.

· Must be able to work in warehouse temperatures.

· Excellent hand eye coordination preferred.

· RF scanner proficient.

· Good written and verbal communication
