Job Description: The primary function of the Bill of Materials Analyst is creating and maintaining Part Master, Bill of Materials, and related data in ERP system in accordance with Engineering drawings to ensure accuracy of all products and options. Job Summary & Responsibilities: As a Bill of Materials Analyst at Airstream, you will work as part of the team responsible for maintaining bills of material, defining option selections, and processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support timely project implementations. You will effectively manage multiple work requests and balance competing priorities to complete assigned tasks.
Key Job Responsibilities: • Support new model year projects by publishing the New Parts List, setting up the model data, and configuring valid options. • Support current models by processing change requests and model year updates. • Interpret Engineering drawings to determine requirements for product options. • Communicate with designers to ensure correct interpretations and accuracy of design documentation. • Investigate identified implementation issues and process feedback to update the bill of material data. • Analyze engineering cost data as an input to pricing, maintain costed BOM extracts for comparison. Process monthly reports for material control review part and cost changes. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in day to day activities.
Qualifications & Requirements: • Associates degree in business or engineering technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 3 to 5 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, vehicle manufacturing preferred • Experience in Bill of Material creation and/or in a design engineering environment including multiple views of the BOM to support Manufacturing, Planning, and Costing • Strong understanding of Change Management and effectively planning • Experience with ERP Systems and Bill of Materials Generation, MS Dynamics 365 preferred • Proficiency in the use of databases, Microsoft Excel, and report generation • Manage multiple tasks and work well within a team environment • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with strong attention to detail • Able to read and interpret engineering drawing
