What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Operator position at Airswift?
Our major client is seeking for Plant Operator to work within their facilities located in Kenedy, TX for a 6-months contract.
Key Accountabilities
· Loading and unloading condensate and natural gas liquids (NGL) trucks, running condensate samples (Reid vaporpressure). Operation of oil stabilizer trains, vapor recovery unit, fuel fired boilers, condensate unloading pumps, condensate transfer pumps and LACT units for delivery.
· Responsible for trouble-shooting operations problems, housekeeping and record keeping
· Inspecting tanks and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking corrective action.
· Check rotating equipment maintain normal operating levels, pressures, and flow on separation equipment, adjusting automatic and manual controls.
· Gauging tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water.
· Maintaining chemical injection rates.
· Monitoring and optimizing stabilizer runtime and costs within area of control.
· Work hours for this position are a twelve-hour, 7 days on / 7 days off rotating shift between nights and days. Will occasionally require overtime during facility turnarounds, facility upsets, start-ups or as workload demands require it.
· Ensure completion of Operations monthly PMs.
· Ensure progression of MSOs competency training package.
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
· Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
· Minimum 1 or education equivalent years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
· Awareness of Permit to Work, Operational Standard Operating Procedures and Lock Out / Tag Out systems.
· Basic knowledge about all types of plant processes, equipment, and systems.
· Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports, handover notes, and end-of-swing handovers.
· Awareness of any Plant or PSM Facility experience.
Schedule: 7/7 days off rotating shift between nights and days.
