The role:
This role will work closely with our executive team and other business functions across the Airwallex environment, managing multiple product domains and focusing on the strategic development of products.
Responsibilities:
1. Define the long term strategy, product vision, roadmap and OKRs for the entire product domain;
2. Grow and develop a talented team of product managers, investing in their skill development and career growth, and cultivate a highly inclusive, collaborative, and results-oriented culture;
3. Lead product development from ideation through to final delivery and commercialisation;
4. Partner with Internal and External Stakeholders to identify and deliver product solutions that increase both revenue and commercialisation rates;
5. Collaborate with Senior Management, Software Engineering and the broader Product teams during the analysis phase to assess value, usability and feasibility;
6. Own the prioritization work with the development team to align delivery with the overall Product roadmap;
7. Work closely with the executive team, while being highly engaged in business strategy and decision making;
8. Make difficult trade-offs and decisions relating to product features, cost, and schedule.
Qualifications:
1. 10 years experience in project management, engineering, or product-related roles;
2. 5 years experience in people management, including building and leading product management or engineering teams;
3. Entrepreneurial drive and the ability to set and achieve goals in an innovative environment;
4. Ability to make decisions by considering both the long term product vision and short term growth requirements;
5. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences;
6. Deep understanding of product management, including 1) the ability to connect business and product strategy in order to drive meaningful business growth; 2) understanding user research and behaviours to inform product design and strategy;
7. Strong user understanding;
8. Capable of leading a team, managing senior team members and getting people excited about your product vision.
