Job Description
We are seeking a Duty Manager for our Janitorial Department at Terminal 8 in JFK Airport. Airway provides Janitorial services to American Airlines. This role is for an overnight/ second shift. You will coordinate and oversee the organisation's daily/ nightly operations.
We need a seasoned, stern, and diligent Duty Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve operational practices
- Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines
- Track and forecast operational trends and analysis
- Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams
- Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations
Over seeing the tasks below:
- Keep terminals in clean and orderly condition
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Organize custodial closets and spaces
- Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
- Weekly payroll submission for administrators
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations and janitorial or other related fields
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities
