- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Analyze demand patterns and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment orders to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions or transportation delays.
- Continuously improve supply chain processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market trends and incorporate insights into demand planning activities.
- Generate reports and performance metrics to track key supply chain KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
- Improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of department & company by leading cross-functional stakeholders through continuous improvement processes and implementation of best practices.
- Ensure that best practice SOPs are created and that all document libraries are updated and current.
- Defining and implementing enhanced departmental metrics and refining the operating model to ensure accountability and performance management.
- Identifies and implements improvements to streamline and automate process flows.
- Partner with various internal divisions, and branch locations to understand operational processes and procedures by performing the work themselves if the situation requires developing and implementing a supply chain roadmap for the company.
- Works with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, increase engagement, and decrease unwanted turnover.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Supply Chain Management certification (e.g. APICS CPIM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of office or business experience
- ∙ Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- ∙ 5 years of supply chain experience
- ∙ Knowledge of Asian food products
- ∙ Experience in production planning and scheduling, inventory control, MRP process, and distribution is a plus.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools (SAP, Oracle ERP systems).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping procedures, and customs clearance is a plus.
