The Mohan Financial Portfolio Manager recommends investment portfolio options based upon a comprehensive financial plan. You will be responsible for researching and analyzing financial and investment information (all asset classes), playing an integral role in developing firm-wide views on the subject matter, as well as preparing and leading formal recommendations on asset allocation and portfolio positioning. You will be expected to have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as a core component of this position is being able to articulate our strategy views to the Advisor and client. Our ideal candidate will have an analytical mind with a keen sense of mathematical patterns and correlations. You will also have the ability to detect trends early and use your expertise to capitalize on them for our client’s best interest.
Mohan Financials’ Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the following:
Ø Meet with Fidelity Managers to review Portfolio Fund Allocation
Ø Rebalancing client portfolios
Ø Manage Qualified and Non-Qualified Accounts
Ø Build custom portfolio for our Variable Uni9versal Life Insurance Products
Ø Provide market Commentary in our firm newsletter (compliance approved)
Ø Apply statistical concepts to portfolio construction and wealth management; demonstrate how to construct an efficient household portfolio, analyze how investment features help clients meet spending goals and analyze the impact of the economic environment on financial markets.
Ø Analyze fixed-income instruments, equity instruments, diversified securities and other financial instruments.
Ø Evaluate the role of taxes on portfolio and wealth management decisions, evaluate strategies for effective client communication and describe ethical practices and financial regulations.
Ø Develop strategies for meeting estate planning goals, develop strategies for meeting charitable planning goals, identify the needs of the executives and recognize areas of specialized financial expertise.
Qualifications for the Mohan Financial Portfolio Manager:
Ø Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Economics, Finance or Accounting, preferred
Ø Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and executing options strategies in client portfolios
Ø CFA, CIM or CIMA (required)
Ø 7 & 65 AND 63 or 66 registrations (required)
Ø Experience & Advanced Knowledge Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics, netx360, Envestnet/Env2 (including trading), NaviPlan (or similar planning/modeling software)
Ø Proficiency a MUST in: Outlook, Google Calendar, Excellent verbal and written communication
Ø A strong analytical problem-solving mind with mathematical skills & intellectual curiosity who thrives in a dynamic and autonomous environment
Ø Maintain strict adherence to compliance, regulatory and ethical standards as evidenced by a clean U4 and exceptional references
Ø Think ahead, determined to find answers and ability to communicate complex information in a simplistic way
Compensation and Benefits:
Ø Base Salary: $93,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience and licensing
Ø 20% relocation bonus if moving from outside the Spokane, CDA area
Ø $3,000 annually towards a retirement plan
Ø Annual bonus based upon company performance
Ø Two weeks PTO and paid holidays – some holiday weeks will be work from home; Flexible PTO and Work Remote
