RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The Social Worker must maintain therapeutic relationships with patients with chronic or terminal illness and their families.

· Must assess needs and develop resource information and programs.

· Must develop educational materials and teach in-service sessions.

· Must be patient and understanding towards all racial and cultural diversity.

· The Social Worker must have advanced assessment and treatment skills including individual, couple and family therapy.

· Must be able to manage a large clinical caseload.

· Must be able to form and maintain effective working relationships with interdisciplinary team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● The Social Worker must hold an MSW.

● Must hold an LCSW from the state of NY, to be considered for this position.

● An exposure in oncology experience is preferred.

● Must be willing to obtain an Oncology Social Worker certification within 1year of employment.

● Must provide and bill for counseling services.

● The Social Worker must have excellent communication skills.

● Must be willing to work ONSITE and be vaccinated.
