Job Summary:
Affigent, LLC is looking to hire an Account Manager to join our team. You shall perform inside sales and marketing functions related to demand generation within the Federal Government in targeted named accounts. This includes, but is not limited to prospecting, quoting, and account coordination with an Account Executive as a partner. Internally, you will support the Account Executive and will work with the Enterprise Solutions Team to gain a full understanding of the business and the products we sell. Externally you will directly interface with users at various levels within their named accounts as well as work closely with selected IT vendors’ sales teams to provide a comprehensive range of lifecycle technology solutions. This role is an entry level sales position with tremendous growth opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotes and bids for IT solutions within the named the DoD and Civilian government agencies.
- Make outbound calls to potential and established customers on a daily basis.
- Assist with the full sales cycle, from needs gathering, responding to RFPs and RFQs through delivery ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Create demand for vendor events/seminars through focused call campaigns.
- Monitor leads from multiple sources and manage the leads in our CRM system.
- Build relationships with vendor and partner inside sales reps tied to the same named accounts to promote IT solutions.
- Provide frequent status updates to vendor and partner inside sales reps tied to the same named accounts on existing opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with procurement, contracting, and high-level decision makers within assigned accounts.
- Schedule new client meetings for assigned Account Executive.
- Meet or exceed monthly and yearly Sales Revenue and Gross Profit target goals.
- Keep all customer records in CRM database up to date on a daily basis, at a minimum.
- Provide weekly and monthly forecasts to management.
- Develop account strategies in conjunction with Account Executive(s) for cohesive implementation.
- Demonstrate ability to close sales and overcome customer objections by achieving sales goals.
- Participate in vendor, sales, and market training as directed by management.
- Take relevant vendor certifications that are necessary in order to perform this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Strong in Microsoft Excel.
- General working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of government contracts a plus.

- Focused, ambitious self-starter who exhibits attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn complex enterprise software and hardware solutions to enable successful development of sales opportunities.
- A team player capable of working within a collaborative environment and making contributions when appropriate.
