The Akira Back bartender position should exude passion for anticipating guests needs and creating drinks. The bartender expedites guests’ drinks and food orders while mixing, preparing, and serving alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks to all patrons in an upscale and high-volume atmosphere. Development of personal clientele list while maintaining repeat guests is expected. The ability to work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service is a must.

- Working knowledge of portion control and product identification
- Answer questions about beverage/food and other company functions and services
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Take orders for food & beverages from guests
- Responsible for accurately checking guest identification
- Provide well service to servers in a timely manner
- Verify beverage and food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been met
- Communicate orders through POS terminal efficiently
- Follow given drink recipes when dispensing drinks. Garnish beverages as needed per company standards and recipes
- Deliver beverage orders promptly
- Organize and prioritize service per appropriate sequence of service
- Prepare guest checks via POS terminal functions and process guest payments by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other tender types
- Uphold procedures for Bartender banks
- Responsible for proper check–out procedures
- Ensure accurate accounting of all bar monies
- Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time
- Ensure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine, and consumable items
- Keep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, trash, etc. throughout shift. Clean all spills and waste immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles
- Proper set up and maintenance of banquet function spaces
- Inform management of any complaint, comment, or incident immediately
- Ability to create and maintain guest rapport
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
- Anticipate guest needs. Provide accurate information to guests regarding our restaurant, menus, and pricing
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain all Company Sequence of Service Standards
- Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift
- Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations
- Respond to Guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude
- Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated
- Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a manager’s attention
- Refuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
- Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.
- Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
- Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a manager immediately
- Assist all other team members as needed
- Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License
- 21 years of age
- Texas Food Handlers Card
- Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards

- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in hospitality working in a high-volume or upscale bar
