Akkodis is partnering with a client in the municipal services in need of an Assistant Civil Engineer for a 12-month temporary contract in Elk Grove, CA. This role is responsible for a variety of civil engineering work in connection with the design, surveying, testing of materials and construction within the EchoWater Operations team.
The Terms:
• Contract 12-months, with probably extension
• Onsite: Elk Grove, CA 95758 (transition to hybrid once training is completed)
• Monday - Friday, 40-hours per week
• Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr W2

Qualifications:
- Current Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate, issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers OR graduation from a curriculum in civil engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
- Experience with topographic and construction surveying, stress analysis, mechanics and properties of materials
- Knowledge of principles of physics and mathematics used in civil engineering and their application to engineering problems
- Experience with real property descriptions, hydraulics and pumps
- Knowledge of civil engineering design and drafting methods and equipment
- Prepare reports, make accurate computations and accurate field notes
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of test plans, test procedures/protocol and prepare technical memorandums related to plant projects
- Conduct field sampling, field monitoring and activities related to plant studies or evaluations
- Coordinate field study activities with O&M staff and analytical work with EchoWater laboratory
- Conduct presentations to staff and plant management related to plant projects
- Support operation and maintenance (O&M) staff at EchoWater in reviewing and analyzing plant process performance data
- Provide assistance in design/planning review and coordination of new plant projects
- Coordinate access requests and documentation for plant construction projects
- Assist/lead plant public tours
- Other duties as assigned
