Job Title: Assistant/Junior Buyer
Pay Rate: $25-$26/hour
Long-term, ongoing contract
Job Description:
- Supports buyers to fulfil process steps with suppliers
- Create/modify SAP data using proprietary software “PILUM”
- Extend suppliers to new plants within SAP
- Help prepare annual price negotiations
- Facilitate document exchange with suppliers
- Prepares price decisions using download & upload templates
- Coordinates, sends and follows-up RFQs with suppliers
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Buyer or Buyer Assistant role
- Minimum 12 months of experience using SAP logistics planning or purchasing modules
- Minimum 3 years of experience using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong demonstrated experience negotiating independently with suppliers

- Strong communicator, with the ability to influence and train business partners
- Results-oriented, with the ability to achieve project deadlines and supplier contracting targets
- Agile, with the ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks
