Akkodis is seeking an Onsite Engineering Lab Support role for a 12 plus month contract position with a client located in Lynn, MA. You will support engineering operations in the materials engineering group for military aviation services.
Pay/Salary Range: $33.00 to $38.00 per hour
Onsite Engineering Lab Support job responsibilities include:
• Develop and manage an excel spreadsheet to track workflows coming into the lab and as the work progresses through the lab daily.
• Work with lab analyst to acquire the information needed to develop and establish the spreadsheet. Once the spreadsheet has been developed, implement strategy to set priorities in the lab with the developed spreadsheet.
• Develop and create standard work documentation for each process done in the lab. Manage the documents as they are created and develop a repository for all the standard work documents so the lab analyst can retrieve as needed.
• Coordinate with the lab operations leader to engage with the lab analyst(s) to record, document procedures in real time to develop standard work.
• Inventory all equipment used in each operation and develop records of machines needing calibration, replacement, or preventative maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree in non-technical field, or Bachelors degree in non-technical field
• One to three years of experience required. Any experience in a materials lab (metallography) preferred.
• Experience setting up spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel with macros as needed and Word.
• Proficient at taking photos and incorporating them into Word documents for instructional purposes as part of the standard work documentation.
