Payroll Specialist Job Description
Job Summary: Member of the payroll team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry Payroll processing. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offer career development opportunities for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include: · Responsible for completing Japan Payroll via PWC, Japan. · Responsible for completing Australia monthly payroll via ADP PayForce. · Responsible for completing Canada bi-monthly payroll via ADP. · Responsible for completing Payroll Journal entries for Australia and Canada via Netsuite. · Responsible for recording payroll completions in Blackline. · Responsible for reconciliation and determining correct pay of employees on Leave of Absence. · Monitor, reconcile and administer PurelyHR website for Canada and Australia re: Pay Leave and other authorized leave benefits. · Initiate Journal Entries to all other Payroll related bank transactions (ACH and Wire payroll payments) via Netsuite. · Initiate Payroll related ACH and Wire payments via Silicon Valley Bank portal. · Complete Month-end tasks every month (requires Journal entries, reconciliations and completing excel data for support) · Complete Quarter- end tasks (requires Journal entries, reconciliations and completing excel data for support) · Complete reconciliation tasks after month-end and quarter-end via Blackline · Report all Kudoz fringe benefits via payroll, quarterly. · Monitor work and payroll emails for additional tasks, disseminations, and questions from other employees. · Provide support documents to the GL Team related to payroll for booking. · Help US payroll in some other tasks. · Complete other tasks as directed by the manager. Requirements (Qualifications & Other Skills) · BSc/BA in Business, Accounting, or related field; professional certification preferred but not required. · 2 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll · Hands on knowledge of payroll best practices · ADP workforce Now, ADP PayForce Australian or ADP Canada GL and NetSuite experience a must. · Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes · Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws · Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Office etc. · Proven experience as a payroll specialist, coordinator, or similar role · A keen eye for detail with excellent attention to detail · An analytical mind and good math & excel skills · Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) · Multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills · Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material is a MUST · Proven record to communicate with various levels of management · Strong work ethic and team player · Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

Duration: 3 months contract only; w/ possible extension to 6 months (no guarantee); No to FTE conversion
