Summary-
The Asset Analyst in the End User Services group is responsible for managing and optimizing our organization software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and maximizing cost savings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in software licensing, data analysis, and vendor management, with a strong understanding of software asset management best practices and industry standards. Under general direction, the Asset Analyst reviews licenses, identifies disparities, and resolves basic software asset issues. In addition, the analyst will provide key insights and solutions with ad hoc reporting and analysis to help drive license optimization.

Core Responsibilities
· Analyze software usage data, license entitlements, and deployment metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, license optimization, and process improvement.
· Maintain accurate records of software licenses, contracts, and entitlements in the SAM tool or asset management database.
· Collaborate with procurement, IT, and finance teams to ensure alignment between software purchasing decisions, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
· Develop and maintain relationships with software vendors and resellers to stay informed about licensing changes, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve licensing disputes.
· Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on software licensing policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software asset management tools and processes to support effective license management and compliance.
· Generate reports and dashboards to communicate software asset management metrics, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities to stakeholders.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in software asset management, and make recommendations for process improvements and tool enhancements.
Job Requirements
· Familiarity with common software development tools (Visual Basic, Visual C , Batch File programming).
· Technical certifications and/or expertise a plus in the following areas: Microsoft Windows XP & Windows 7; and Office, Novell NetWare, Outlook/Exchange, general windows-based PC Installation and Troubleshooting.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing software license records and compliance documentation.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
