- Exceptional customer service skills, including interpersonal communication and rapport building
- Passion for creating and building business relationships
- In-depth knowledge of the dealership’s vehicles, finance options and sales process
- Active listening to best determines a customer’s wants and needs
- Intuition to anticipate which vehicles will appeal to different customers
- Confidence to create a positive impression on customers

Day to day of a Vehicle Sales Specialist at Al West Nissan
- You will actively be seeking out new opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
- You will have knowledge of telephone, text and email techniques and etiquette
- You will be efficient with time management to be able to maintain proper customer follow up schedules
- You will greet customers arriving at the dealership
- You will establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- You will highlight the dealership’s vehicles and explain their features and warranties to customers
- You will answer customer questions about vehicles, financing, and the purchase process
- You will accompany customers on test drives, collecting licenses and documentation beforehand per best practices
- You will negotiate vehicle prices and trade-in values for customers’ vehicles and handle complaints or objections
- You will collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve better results
- You will gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
- You will coordinate with the finance department to determine each customer’s financing and ownership options
- You will continuously improve through feedback
- You will keep up to date of best practices and promotional trends
- You will achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
