In addition to hourly pay plus tip share, this position does offer INCENTIVE-BASED BONUSES.
Daily Shift schedule is 11am-7pm OR 5am-1pm.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 3 years of FOH operations and/or other management positions.
-Some management experience preferred.
-Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
-Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (7-8 hours generally)
-Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
-Must have the stamina to work 35-40 hours per week.
-Serv Safe (Food Safety Manager) Certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
o Understand completely all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
o Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
o Respond to & resolve customer complaints accordingly.
o Coordinate with General/Assistant Manager of customer conflict resolutions.
o Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to the store’s recipe and par level standards.
o Coordinate with General/Assistant Manager on par level standards.
o Ensure that baristas and shift leaders are following par levels, proper prep is available for each shift, expiration dates are being followed properly, etc.
o Ensure that all drinks are made correctly and according to PJ’s Brand Standards.
o Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
o Ensure Shift leaders are maintaining a positive and fun work environment.
o Ensure labor percentage standard (set by General Manager) is being met.
o Ensure sales goals (set by General Manager) is being met.
o Ensure the proper appearance & cleanliness of facility standards are being met.
o Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
o Ensure cash drawers are being properly opened, closed, and reconciled.
o Obtaining “change” from the “cash box” in safe when needed.
o Ensure only authorized personnel are accessing the safe (shift leaders).
§ Baristas do NOT have access to the safe!
o Assist General Manager with deposits as needed.
o Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
o Continually assist upper management in developing and training staff.
o Ensure that all new employees are trained according to the company’s training guidelines.
o Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following PJ’s preventative maintenance programs.
o Report any equipment issues directly to all supervisors.
o Resolve any equipment issues as directed by supervisors.
o Report any employee conduct or company violations directly to all supervisors.
o As specified in “Employee Code of Conduct,” “Drug & Alcohol Policy,” and “Discrimination & Harassment Policy”
o Execute & record corrective actions when baristas, BOH, or shift leaders are in violation of company policy while being prompt, fair, and consistent when administering corrective action.
o Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the store, employees, and guests.
o Assist General/Assistant Manager in passing regular Health Inspection by local health department and ensure health codes are being followed.
o Provide advice and suggestions to supervisors as needed.
o Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
o Assist with inventory control and ordering. Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the store’s receiving policies and procedures.
o Assist General/Assistant Manager with monthly inventory count if required. This will be conducted outside of business hours.
o Inform General/Assistant Manager when certain products are running low or have not been restocked.
o Assist General/Assistant Manager with product ordering as needed.
o Assist General/General Manager with employee scheduling as needed
o Assist with carrying out store marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns as set forth by upper management.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $9.00 - $15.00/hour.
