Job Posting for Forensic Accountant at Alan Gray, Inc.

Alan Gray LLC is currently recruiting candidates for its growing Forensic Accounting Unit. The candidate will investigate business interruption/lost profit claims through a detailed analysis of financial records.

Qualifications
The preferable candidate will have experience quantifying damages claimed against commercial insurance coverage, and the following:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification a plus
  • 3 or more years of accounting and insurance-related experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Understanding of forensic auditing procedures
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering, interpreting and analyzing financial data to quantify damages in commercial insurance claims.
  • Performing financial calculations to determine economic losses arising out of claims.
  • Developing schedules and exhibits that document and support calculations.
  • Drafting clear, concise reports summarizing calculations and findings.
