Commercial Color Lab Manager
As the Commercial Color Lab Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading color management operations for our Award Winning Client, ensuring precise color formulation, efficient lab operations, and driving transformative changes utilizing Lean or Six Sigma principles.
Our client, recognized with numerous awards and operating nationally, is seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead their Delaware Commercial Lab Organization.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, engineering, or related field, along with 5 years of experience managing technical teams within the coating industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead our Award Winning Client's Delaware Commercial Lab Organization, focusing on sectors such as Commercial Truck, Commercial Truck OEM, Light industrial coatings, and Matthews (Sign Business).
Coordinate resources to ensure seamless lab operations aligned with business indicators.
Oversee and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with EHS targets, promoting a safe and sustainable working environment.
Define, establish, and oversee color matching projects to meet business needs and enhance color capabilities.
Manage customer service requests, collaborating with customers and Colorists for timely resolution in the commercial lab.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with major motor manufacturers, gathering essential color and model data.
Manage a team of color information specialists, ensuring data accuracy and entry.
Develop and implement development plans and talent pipelines for color lab personnel.
Oversee the Refinish portion of the GRID application, including color laboratory management, color chip tool management, and customer color retrieval software.
Provide tailored laboratory performance reports to meet evolving needs and targets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, engineering, or related field.
5 years of experience managing technical teams within the coating industry.
Candidate Must Have :
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical teams.
Background in working for a Technical Team, preferably in R&D, Product Development, or Industrial Labs.
