Summary:
Under the supervision of the Information Technology (IT) Security Manager, the Systems and Security Integration Specialist acts as the primary focal point to coordinate and integrate systems and security tasks.

Responsibilities:

Works extensively with HIT Directors and managers to develop and provide oversight of program operations

Manages special tasks, workflows, and roadmaps as assigned. Compiles and analyzes data. Prepares special and recurring reports. Prepares expenditure justification studies.

Coordinates activities with other HIT Managers to meet the organization's security requirements. Serves on HIT committees and other service groups.

Works with HIT Directors and managers to collaborate on data gathering processes and acts as a liaison for HIT systems and security tasks, controls, and roadmaps.

Attends meetings to document outcomes and develop tasks implementation strategies

Establishes and maintains Key Workgroups and subcommittees such as: vulnerability management workgroup, technical design workgroup, patch management workgroup, legal and regulatory (compliance) workgroup, implementation workgroup, and others as identified throughout the project design and implementation

Writes and presents summarized monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on completed projects, provides summary reports that may be required by the HIT Steering Committee, Workgroups and other committees, and coordinates with ANTHC managers.

Coordinates with Contracting and Procurement to ensure appropriate regulatory requirements are met.

Coordinates with Marketing to develop strategies to communicate with staff.

Develops training and awareness initiative on assignment coordination and management.

Head systems and security workforce in develop of project templates to increase the effectiveness

Uses processes to establish a framework on process and service ownership for projects

Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
  • K nowledge of use of a relational database management system (RDMS) and spreadsheet management system, or project management software.
  • K nowledge of security policies and principles of information handling and protection.
  • K nowledge of applicable statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, codes, administrative orders, and other operational guidelines and directives.
  • Knowledge of local and regional regulatory information security requirements.
  • K nowledge of most recent version of IT infrastructure library in use.
  • S killed in executive-level presentations and briefings.
  • S kill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  • S kill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
  • S kill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with other employees.
  • S kill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications.

  • S kill in vulnerability management and penetration testing.
  • S kill in technical report writing utilizing a variety of software applications.
  • S kill in team-building and coordinating interdepartmental activities.
  • S kill in using a multi-disciplinary approach to resolving security incidences.
  • S kill in providing practical and goals-achievable security training, education, and awareness.
  • S kill in integrate cultural differences and motives to work with cross-cultural teams.
MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A ssociate degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Project Management.
M INIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
N on-supervisory – Five (5) years of experience working in enterprise IT environments. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
P REFERRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
B achelor degree in Project Management, Management Information Systems, Business management.
P REFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
I ntegrating systems and security applications and workflow.

A DDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • M ay be called to work off-shift in emergency situations .
  • W ill be required to carry a pager, cell phone and/or other portable computing device and be on call.
  • W ill be required to work outside the traditional work schedule to accommodate downtime windows suitable for clinical environments.
