What you will be doing
The Product Marketing Manager will own product marketing for dedicated products and support strategic marketing initiatives that will position Albertsons Media Collective’s advertising products as leading solutions to help shopper marketers and advertisers connect their brands with consumers. This role will play a critical role in the go-to-market strategy by developing compelling positioning and messaging that differentiates Albertsons Media Collective in the marketplace, building demand from our customers. You'll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align messaging across all channels and identify the most growth opportunities. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual who can partner, execute, and lead through influence.
The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).
Main responsibilities
Product Positioning & Messaging:
- Develop sales materials with compelling, differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with our advertisers.
- Ensure alignment of messaging across channels in collaboration with product operations and marketing communications and other cross-functional teams
Go-To-Market Strategy Support:
- Create sales support materials and collateral to support effective communication and education of product value propositions.
- Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support to create marketing briefs and lead development of the marketing plan for external promotion including speaking engagements, industry events and conferences, news and press, social media, and written works.
- Assess the effectiveness of the marketing activities and sales materials on an ongoing basis for updates.
Market Analysis and Insights:
- Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
- Share relevant industry news and insights with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct market research and gather customer feedback and insights to inform product strategy and roadmap.
Product Engagement and Education:
- In collaboration with Learning & Development team -- Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
The salary range is $102,700 to $143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Benefits may include, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.
What we are searching for
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of marketing or adtech/martech product management roles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of supporting successful go-to-market strategies and product positioning
- Strong writing skills and ability to create compelling sales materials (PowerPoint decks).
- Expert project management skills and the ability to organize and advance multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving, fluid business environment.
- Domain expertise in digital media, digital advertising and ecommerce preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Number of direct reports: None.
- Travel requirements: Less than 15%.
