What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Business Development - eClinical position at Albion Rye Associates?
As the Business Development Director, you will play a crucial role within my client's rapidly growing global sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and enhance customer relationships by driving the acquisition of new business in the eClinical space. Leveraging your expertise, you will focus on expanding the sales pipeline in the United States while successfully closing deals aligned with the company's objectives and sales targets.
The ideal candidate will be a true hunter of new business, and able to evidence the last 3 to 5 years of exceeding sales targets.
- Achieve annual sales targets for eClinical SaaS (Software as a Service)
- Formulates a strategic client call plan to meet objectives and sales goals.
- Cultivates and strengthens client relationships at senior levels.
- Constructs account strategies and forms partnerships with key accounts.
- Regularly submits sales activity reports to the senior leadership team.
- Pursues and follows up promptly on leads.
- Gathers and shares market insights and competitor intelligence.
- Collaborates effectively with IT software developers, IT operations, and colleagues in proposals, marketing, and other company Business Development colleagues.
- Promotes the unique capabilities of the eClinical solution and distinguishes it from competitors.
- Identifies winning strategies for individual opportunities and client partnerships.
- Establishes and manages client expectations.
- Collaborates with internal company resources to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Participates in the development of proposal scopes.
- Evaluates proposals and quotations for product offerings, ensuring alignment with client and company requirements.
- Utilizes CRM tools for internal communication and documentation of client information.
- Takes charge of Opportunity Management and provides accurate pipeline forecasts.
- Demonstrates willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must have
- Degree in business or life sciences
- Experience selling eClinical SaaS solutions
- Experience selling to life sciences - pharma and biotech clinical teams
- Track record of the last 3 years of sales targets and achievements
- An extensive network within the clinical space
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
