As an Engineer I, you will be responsible for defining equipment standards, leading process benchmarking and reapplication, and building capability to do technical troubleshooting and process improvement at our contact lens production site in Johns Creek, GA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Support life cycle of equipment (Initial Design Specifications, Factory Acceptance, Validation, Sustaining Production Support).
- Participates in troubleshooting and corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce waste.
- Lead and/or assist in development and execution of qualification protocols.
- Identify, design, and implement improvement to machines.
- Uses engineering methods to optimize manufacturing processes and provide sustainable gains in product quality, process yield, and efficiency by utilizing statistical analysis, design of experiments, and daily process troubleshooting.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 8 yrs; Assoc. 4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Work hours: Monday - Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm
