As a QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN you will be accountable for completing product attribute and particulate inspections, manufacturing batch record review, line audits, and product sampling to ensure products are manufactured in compliance with corporate, regulatory and industry standards at our FORT WORTH NORTH MANUFACTURING FACILITY at FORT WORTH, TEXAS, (US).

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Strictly adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), and Standard Operating Procedures and report all discrepancies immediately.

  • Support facility documentation revision by reviewing documents, processing change requests (review documents, process change requests, temporary document changes, laboratory information system, document obsoletions).

  • Ensure MBR reviews are completed in a timely manner based on scheduled due dates.

  • Perform activities that ensure required quality and safety standards are being met for our products.

  • Review MBRs to ensure all manufacturing batch procedures are followed and all data is recoded per procedures.

  • Log MBRs into computer tracking system and file pending review.

  • Coordinate/support other departments to ensure smooth execution of work.

  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, warehouse, and other functions as necessary.

  • Keep work areas clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions Perform housekeeping.

  • Follow all safety regulations and promote positive safety behaviors.

  • Participates in problem solving and troubleshooting of issues.

  • Support training needs of team members and work cohesively with team.

  • Ensure supplies and equipment are available to meet schedules.

  • Carry out work as defined by schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • Work hours: 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday from 2:30pm - 11:00pm

  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
