Reporting to the VP of Technology, the SQL Developer is an Exempt position that will use specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education, experience, specialized training and/or certification to support, maintain and improve Vital Incite’s operations and product by querying our data warehouse to answer client questions, reduce manual tasks, and develop or modify proprietary codesets to support Vital Incite’s data products
- Using SQL, develop and maintain custom fields to support Business Intelligence and control reporting.
- Address reporting requests through ad hoc data extraction and/or creation of self-service reporting.
- Provide ad hoc data extractions for specified information.
- Use SSIS to post files regularly to SFTP or SharePoint folders for outbound files
- Create SSRS reports as needed.
- Maintain the accurate and timely transfer of data between external data warehouse and Vital Incite including regular loading of data received from the data warehouse and modification of the data in SQL to fit reporting needs.
- Utilize Vital Incite’s proprietary data mapping process to ingest data files directly into Vital Incite warehouse.

Supervisory Responsibility
- This position is an administrative role within the Vital Incite organization that may provide consultative supervision of the Vital Incite reporting.

- This position has access to highly confidential information, which will require exceptional confidentiality to protect the privacy of clients as well as Vital Incite’s intellectual property.

- This position will have contact with staff at all levels within the organization, up to and including senior management. The successful applicant must be able to communicate well with internal Vital Incite employees and stakeholders.

Work Environment:
- This position will be required to perform a variety of tasks, work under general supervision, and must be able to manage competing demands. Although in office work is preferred at least 2 days a week, this position could be a virtual position.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Healthcare related field
- Creating T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and scheduled jobs
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Management Studio and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SSAS Tabular experience is a plus
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel
- Understanding of healthcare claims data preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
