Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a direct hire Cash Analyst for a nationwide commercial real-estate company with an office in the city of Buffalo.
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: up to $27.00/HR, based on experience
Schedule: 100% Onsite, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Receive, open, and scan mail related to cash payments and invoices, including checks, non-sufficient fund (NSF) checks, and credit memos.
- Accurately process incoming checks and electronic funds (ACH, wire transfers, credit card payments).
- Perform calculations, prepare deposit slips, create spreadsheets for received checks, and enter data accurately and promptly.
- Provide information to lease agents, collections personnel, and property management regarding cash applied to accounts.
- Process online credit card payments and submitted cash spreads using appropriate software.
- Set up ACHs, download daily transaction data from the bank, and input it into the system. Ensure appropriate backup is scanned with all transactions.
- Manage the NSF process, including system application and tenant notification.
- Prepare and circulate daily cash reports.
- Handle other related projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School and or GED is required
- Minimum of 2 years in a clerical accounting position required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in handling cash application
- Knowledge in computer data entry
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- 2-year business/accounting degree is preferred
- Experience using bank lockbox services and/or electronic tenant portal is preferred
