Here's what you'd do:
- The Develop Continuous Improvement leader manages local, SUS, and Develop continuous improvement activities, including SHAKE2 transformation.
- Works under general direction, recommending and developing approaches to solutions.
- This position has the authority and the right to control the command and Develop Continuous Improvement activities to ensure progress on projects in the improvement portfolio.
- Under minimal supervision and exercising autonomy, works with members of all functions to ensure and Develop improvement projects that are executed and implemented effectively and efficiently.
- Propose the improvement strategy for the "Develop" process of the organization (including Industrialization/Manufacturing Engineering) that leads to Continuous Improvement regarding Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Be an idea leader, identify potential progress initiatives, and recommend improving the "Develop" process.
- Consolidate projects and improvement plans progress at the process level.
- Manage the project portfolio, set the synthesis, and develop the corresponding reporting.
- Implement and manage performance improvement initiatives across the "Develop" process within the SSUSA organization, including, until fully implemented, SHAKE2 project initiatives for SSUSA.
- Define/Confirm the parameters of the projects, significantly the scope, and the expected gains.
- Establish a common and consistent management structure for the projects.
- Confirm adequate resources needed to complete the project.
- Provide summary reports on project progress and achievement of objectives.
- Formally define and capitalize on the results achieved using the tools available within the client community
- Take part in Company/Group events to share experience.
- Promote and coach Lean-Sigma tools and methods, Develop Fundamentals within the organization, and share experience with peers.
- Use the standards and best practices within the Group Management System to improve and Develop performance.
- Promote open innovation within the Engineering and Industrialization departments.
- Identify potential Green Belt projects and promote candidates within the Engineering and Industrialization departments.
- This role is focused on people and organizations to enable the processes and community transformation and unlock the efficiencies and environment necessary for success.
- The role ongoing and frequent communication with multiple stakeholders, including regular review with Senior Executives.
- It is essential that the position holder can manage communication at all levels in the organization to encourage progress, celebrate success, and find improvements.
- It is also expected that the position holder will be able to discuss confidently with customers and other external stakeholders when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Pay $105k-$114k/year

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the aerospace industry
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in continuous improvement or process improvement within the Engineering field
- Master's degree in Business Administration.
- Experience with APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plans, Systems Engineering
- Experience in Aerospace product development

- Conversant in French and Spanish
- PMP or similar certification.
- Good knowledge of the company, how it functions, and its business sectors

- Proficiency in change management
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Sigma tools and methods
- Understanding of Development processes.

- Approximately 10% of International or Domestic travel.
