What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL ASSISTANT position at ALETHEIA HOUSE?
The medical assistant will prepare patients for treatment, coordinate, and assist with completion of treatment/protocol. The medical assistant will maintain exam rooms, arrange, and prepare exam rooms’ equipment and instruments including stock exam rooms with medical supplies and stock laboratory with lab supplies and schedule diagnostic test appointments. This is the perfect position for an individual who enjoys providing administrative and clinical support for health practitioners that include taking medical histories, vital signs, blood pressures, prepares patients for exams, and assisting physician/nurse practitioner during exams. The area of service is Bessemer, AL.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Certification as a certified medical assistant (CMA) or nursing assistant, required
Current basic life support certifications, required
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, pc applications, and software, required
General medical office skills, required
Two years of outpatient experience, preferred
Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Schedule: P/T, Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday 8a-330p. Up to 29 hours per week.
Salary : $15 - $20
