We are looking for a Social Worker to join our Counseling Department. The successful candidate will give valuable assistance to students, helping them with their academic goals, and their social and personal development.
We are looking for highly qualified and experienced candidates with the following assets:
- Valid New York State Teacher Certification
- Ability to collaborate with other school and community professionals
- Have expertise in developing and maintaining positive working relationships with families.
- Provide counseling when appropriate
- Provide staff with information to better understand factors affecting student's behaviors, and performance
- Expert knowledge in research-based instructional strategies for students with social/emotional needs
- Be an active member of the Crisis Intervention Team/TIG
- Participate in and provide professional development based on Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Pupil Personnel
