Job Summary
We are seeking a Geriatric Nurse (LPN) to join our team Part-time 2-3 days a week, M-F 7:30-2:00pm! As a Geriatric Nurse, you will spend your time caring for our aging patients, administering medication, and following care orders laid out by the team of doctors. You will also work closely with other nurses and nurses' aides offering support and guidance, and be a supportive, helpful presence to our patients in our Adult Day Program. The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, has all the required licensing in the state, and works well independently as well as within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor clients at the Center, assessing current well-being and making notes on issues as needed at the Adult Day Program
- Notifying the physician if there are issues or concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications as directed
- Document on Care Plans, monthly notes and daily census and charting by exception.
- Assisting other staff, CNA and Activity Director in making sure that excellent care is given to the clients.
- Being a positive, supportive presence to our aging patients
Qualifications
- Active, valid nursing license within the state
- Experience working with an aging population desired
- Comfortability working independently and within a team
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Salary : $21 - $22
