At Alight, we are seeking a talented Release Owner and Product Operations professional, someone who will excel at working in a dynamic and evolving department as Alight continues its exciting transformation. The ideal candidate is flexible in approach yet steadfast in their desire to deliver high-quality experiences to our clients on schedule. Other skills and experience include:
Responsibilities
- Maintaining project schedules and ensuring alignment across key partners and vendors
- Negotiating, planning, and monitoring activities & milestones to ensure milestones are met and the project results can be measured
- Manage customer deployments and work with stakeholders on timelines
- Leading and coordinating go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists, conducting readiness and milestone reviews, and facilitating business Go/No-Go calls
- Coordinating & overseeing communications with our stakeholders
- Managing risks and resolving issues that affect the project scope, schedule, and quality
- Coordinating and ensuring documentation for end users (e.g. release notes, solution details, knowledge transfer materials, etc.) is delivered on time and with high-quality
- Providing regular status reporting to leadership
- Producing, maintaining, and continuously improving product release management guidelines and documentation
- Maintaining a repository and managing key information such as procedures, dependencies, and distribution lists
Qualifications/ Knowledge and Education
- 3-5 years of experience running and managing projects or programs, preferably as release owner, product manager, or program/project manager in a large SaaS software company (1000-5000 employees)
- Demonstrable experience with creating and executing projects
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
- Strong leadership, drive, and motivational skills; ability to deliver results independently
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytics, and prioritization skills
- An eye for details, particularly in communication materials to internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
- A high standard for quality deliverables and software, and a willingness to help others achieve that same level of quality
- Understanding of our markets, industry, clients, and system capabilities
- Ability to develop and sustain positive partnerships across diverse and global teams
