What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Teller position at Align Credit Union?
Role:
Responsible for the supervision of the teller area. Guide and advise tellers in the efficient handing of member needs and ensure accurate service in the processing of transactions. Perform all teller functions as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong working knowledge and promote all credit union products and services based on member's needs.
Responsible for coaching the teller line to cross selling products and services.
Supervise the daily activities of the tellers such as but not limited to scheduling hours, assigning work, answering questions and solving problems.
Assist tellers in daily tasks and balancing.
Order, receive, fine count and distribute cash. Monitor and audit cash drawers according to CU policies and ensure accuracy.
Responsible for training/development of new tellers. Evaluate job performance on all subordinates to ensure quality member service and accurate transactions.
Ensure that safety and security policies are up to date and ongoing training is provided.
Verify and complete daily and monthly reports accurately before forwarding them to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service to resolve member requests, problems or questions while maintaining the privacy of member information.
Participate and apply all credit union training by completing all online and classroom requirements and apply knowledge of all credit union products and services to better assist the staff in servicing of membership.
Ability to perform as Manager on Duty when Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager are unavailable.
Volunteer for community events.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
