Teller - Full Time

Role:

To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. To actively look for referral opportunities and cross sell credit union products and services by educating members and engaging in consultative discussions to uncover needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Maintaining an accurate cash drawer, processing accurate and prompt transactions, and balancing according to the credit union guidelines.

Asks open ended and fact finding questions to discuss and educate on Align products and services, determine the member’s needs to help produce strong referrals and cross sales that are in the best interest of the member.

Consistently contribute to retail goals, and continually build relationships.

Continually promotes our brand of Higher Values and Trusted Service both internally and externally in every member and co-worker interaction, as well as building relationships with members in a friendly and professional manner.

Ability to handle and make independent decisions regarding complex member transactions, and to seek help from the head teller or the manager on duty for elevated issues.

Ability to cross train in backing up the head teller and fill in as needed.

Participate and apply all Align required training. Complete all required on-line and classroom assignments. Actively seek out ways to better increase my knowledge of credit union products and services to better contribute to my department and the credit union.

Active in Align community events.

To complete all basic training required to obtain and NMLS.
