Align Technology Inc. is looking for a DevOps Intern for our San Jose, CA or Raleigh, NC location. Align Technology is a global medical device company that pioneered the invisible orthodontics market with the introduction of the Invisalign system in 1999. Today, we develop innovative, technology-rich products such as Invisalign system of clear aligner treatments, the iTero scanner services to help dental professionals achieve the clinical results they expect and deliver effective, cutting-edge dental options to their patients.

Your role
As an intern, you will get practical experience with the theoretical knowledge you’ve learned in University, by learning how to contribute code, working with various DevOps tools and programming languages, and keeping up to date with all modern technologies in the field of cloud infrastructure operations and release engineering (often referred to as “devops”). That skill set will be applied across the following activities:
- Learning AWS cloud architecture, development and operations
- Learning how to architect and develop container-based infrastructure and processes to host global microservices and medical data storage systems
- Automating application deployment, packaging and other aspects of release lifecycle
- Learning the process of troubleshooting and remediating infrastructure and application failures
- Lead activities related to test environments and support of local development teams
Requirements:
- We are looking for highly motivated person with technical background, hungry for knowledge and ready to join the DevOps culture, best practices and tools.
- Good knowledge of Unix concepts and basic experience with Linux OS
- Basic skills in Python, Bash
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with modern technologies and ability to learn fast
Nice to have:
- Contributions to open source community on Github or even your own “pet-projects” there
