About this opportunity
Align Technology is looking for an experienced finance professional to join its FP&A team as a Finance Manager to support the Technology organization. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong analytical skills, an effective communicator, and a passionate leader looking to drive change in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for monthly forecasting/close, annual planning, long term strategic planning, ROI analysis, and business partnering.
This is an individual contributor role.
In this role, you will…
· Lead end to end month-end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning
· Manage headcount approvals in Workday, PO/Contract approvals SAP/Ariba
· Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP including preparation and posting of journal entries for expense
· Monitor expense and headcount plan vs actual, and provide analysis/recommendation for business partners
· Monitor operational trends and key efficiency/effectiveness metrics, including spending, headcount, capital expenditures/investment, leases, and vendor investment against plan/forecast assumptions
· Spear head monthly and quarterly operational reviews and business deep dives
· Maintain and optimize existing OPEX processes to improve efficiency
· Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs
· Work autonomously but in collaboration with teammates and business partners while ensuring strict adherence to corporate policies
In this role, you’ll need …
· BS degree in Business Administration or related field. Finance major or MBA is a plus
· 7-12 years related experience showing strong career progression
· Manage and own financial planning and analysis for a BU or a function
· Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders
· Experience working with cross functional and global teams and be able to be flexible and/or accommodate regional time differences
· Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task with the willingness to adapt to the rapid business and organizational demands that result from a high-growth environment
· Strong candidates will have MS Excel & PowerPoint expertise and working experience with SAP systems. Experience with Host Analytics planning software a plus
