Position Summary:
Responsible for establishing, organizing, monitoring and maintain the recreation and wellness program and for coordinating related activities. May include Challenge Course activities
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all recreation and wellness program activities are conducted in accordance with Company Model.
- Organizes recreation and wellness program activities working closely with the Clinical Director in the delivery of patient services.
- Coordinates and conducts all recreation and wellness activities and documents in patient record.
- Lead specialized groups as assigned.
- Assess patients needs and provide therapeutic activities that are appropriate to age, development, needs and interest.
- Seek clinical supervision and support when compilations arise in therapeutic settings or recreation therapy sessions. Coordinates with Medical Director, or designee, on all medical issues impacting patients ability to participate in the recreation therapy program.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to plan and evaluate recreation therapy.
Qualifications
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Bachelors Degree in Recreation Therapy preferred.
- Certification in Recreation Therapy, Ropes Course, personal trainer and /or yoga preferred
- Three years professional experience in recreation related field preferred.

Salary : $34,800 - $44,100
