Accountant Job Duties/Responsibilities
Billing/Accounts Receivable
- Prepare monthly (and occasionally one-off) billing invoices to Accounts/Members.
- Collect and post payments for invoicing as funds are received.
- Communicate with accounts/members should any invoicing discrepancies arise.
- Review accounts receivable aging and call on accounts/members for past due accounts.
- Set ACH payments to receive billing from accounts & post to outstanding invoices
- Research and reconcile Stripe payments received and post to outstanding invoices.
Banking
- Deposit funds received by check.
- Research & clear reconciling items (deposits and disbursements) in Xero; post to general ledger.
- Transfer funds as needed between accounts of related entities.
- ACH payments to vendors/suppliers as needed.
Subsidiaries
- Create monthly invoices between related entities.
- Transfer payments for invoices between related entities.
- ACH payments to partner providers from subsidiaries bank accounts
- Prepare Ad Hoc reporting to partner providers as requested/needed.
- Maintain related entities general ledger accounts.
General Ledger
- Maintain accounts (add, delete, modify) in Xero.
- Review general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Develop management financial reports as needed.
Payroll
- Maintain ADP database for employees and contractors.
- Calculate monthly commissions.
- Process semi-monthly payroll for the 10thand 25thpay dates.
- Prepare payroll entries to the general ledger for each pay date.
- Clean up ADP database to eliminate d.) (above) and facilitate employee/contractor recordation of pay data.
Qualifications/Experience
a.) G/L software
b.) XERO software experience a plus
c.) Related party transactions and eliminating entries
d.) Proficient working with Excel, pivot tables, Google sheets and other database functions
Full-time salaried position (Monday-Friday), 401k match up to 3%, paid Healthshare membership, Paid time off (PTO)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
