Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As our Dispensing Pharmacy Technician, you will be trained on our systems, and then move forward into learning the intricacies of our dispensing processes. Partnering with our Lead Technician, gain hands-on skill through the step-by-step training for the first week or two, until you are able to work independently. Within three to four weeks, you'll be up, running and fully productive in this active position as you master each section of your varied dispensing duties. Along the way, additional assignments will come your way which will keep you inspired and growing professionally. If down the road you wish to move to other departments, career growth is available.
- Fill daily prescription orders: punch cards, bulk items, OTCs, compounding, cassettes, prepacks, etc.
- Stock and restock medication inventory
- Print daily orders for the pharmacy, and print labels and delivery sheets
- Process daily shorts and punch card buckets
- Reorder the bulks and shorts
- Create and maintain the punch-card calendar and maintain the calendar board
- Receive any incoming shipment of medication and handle all related paperwork
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Our Pharmacy Technician, Dispensing must have a high school diploma and either a Pharmacy Technician license coming from a retail or long-term care environment (preferred). You already have at least 1 year of pharmacy tech skill and if you already hold your CPhT, your resume will shoot to the top of the stack.
Serving as a pharmacy technician now and not yet certified? We will loan you study materials to assist you with your preparation for the pharmacy technician certification exam , and we will reimburse your exam fees. Showcase your proven skills for being organized, detail-oriented , along with being mission driven in your work, punctual, and reliable . Your verbal, written, and customer service skills will be superior. Basic computer skills, the ability to multitask, and the desire to collaborate with the team are essential.
