Senior Systems Analyst – Commercial and G&A Service Delivery IT
POSITION SUMMARY:
Alkermes is seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Analyst to be a key member of the Commercial and G&A Service Delivery IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Salesforce and Veeva Commercial Products with a core focus on Multichannel CRM, Salesforce.com and ServiceCloud (Patient Services) platforms . This individual will provide application support and system administration across the Commercial organization, including Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Access Services, Field Sales, and some involvement with Medical Affairs.
The role will be based in Waltham MA. Option to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote is available.
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Primary resource responsible for support of existing Veeva CRM, Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Service Cloud systems.
- Manage support requests to ensure they are addressed in a thoughtful and timely manner through to successful resolution.
- Partner with the business teams to identify, define, and implement new process improvement opportunities leveraging existing system capabilities.
- Perform in-depth impact assessments, system integration testing and coordination of end-user acceptance testing when necessary for system changes.
- Partner with business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to support Commercial systems.
- Maintain system lifecycle documents and partner with other IT functions to develop technical roadmaps.
- Partner with the Project Delivery team to ensure effective transition of documentation, knowledge transfer, service levels, and training required for production support of new and updated IT solutions and services occurs.
- Maintain standards and operational procedures for the support of SFDC/Veeva and related technologies within the organization.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of configuration specifications, SOPs, cut-over plans, change controls and other relevant deliverables for various IT systems in the Commercial domain.
- Contribute to audit and control activities for SFDC, Veeva and associated systems. Ensure that agreed controls are followed for both production support and development activities.
- Ensure appropriate IT processes, procedures, and standards are developed and in place.
- Build and foster effective relationships between the business, external service providers and IT.
- Introduce best practice and process improvement ideas where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Global IT team to share best practices and learn from peers within the industry.
BASIC Q UALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting end users within pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Veeva CRM or Salesforce certification preferred.
- Experience working directly with Commercial systems, including one or more of the following key systems is preferred: Multichannel CRM, Salesforce.com and ServiceCloud (Patient Services) platforms.
- Experience managing IT vendor relationships within pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Familiarity with OmniChannel strategy and concepts a plus.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and/or HIPPA compliance is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Knowledge/Skills Needed:
- Thorough understanding of the implementation and customizations of Salesforce.com solutions.
- Ability to work within a system architecture that incorporates Master Data, Commercial Datawarehouse/Data lake and/or other systems integrations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to and interact with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Expertise in translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
