What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director position at All Centers?
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Director for our new Mental Health program
The Clinical Director is responsible to provide management of the clinical function of the facility. As well as, provide effective leadership to the clinical staff and have knowledge of the organization and function to direct all activities within accordance with standards of state regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family, or health care related field; required.
- LMHC, LCSW, LMFT preferred.
- Three to Five years of experience in substance abuse and/or mental health field preferred.
- Experience with KIPU EMR preferred
Job Duties:
- Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegate’s authority for completion of responsibilities.
- Functions as leader of multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team/staffing meetings in absence of Executive Director
- Delivers direct patient services, such as primary therapist, performing individual and group therapist sessions, documentation of events and completes Bio-psychosocial, Vista Assessment, and Discharge Summary with patient, as needed.
- Provides for staff development (i.e., supervision, educational, etc.) and evaluates clinical staff based on specified performance standards, on a timely basis.
- Attends clinical and administrative meetings to integrate inter-departmental sharing of information.
- Displays ability to direct and supervise clinical staff and activities and works Collaboratively with the Senior Management Team.
- Initiates appropriate counseling and disciplinary action for infraction of policy.
- Assists in formulating standards for patient care and evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
- Collaborates with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care and facilitates communication with ancillary services and facilitates case management services.
- Evaluates patient care weekly by assessing patients and uses good clinical judgment in moving patient through treatment levels
- Aware of staff strengths and limitations and makes assignments accordingly.
- Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies
- Coordination of daily utilization review tasks and reviews and approves preadmissions
- Completion of weekly random clinical chart audits and QA and Compliance reports for PIC.
- Rotates on call with Executive Director, Clinical Facility Administrator and Clinical Coordinator.
