What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valve Body Builder position at All Departments?
As a Valve Body Builder you are responsible for building quality valve bodies which are considered to be the brains of our remanufactured transmissions. Building high quality valve bodies are a priority along with verifying that parts are in good condition and meet our specifications. You will work with a team and are expected to build at minimum, two valve bodies per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Verify parts are clean and of good quality, without damage
- Build each valve body according to spec by following processes and procedures
- Adhere to strict quality standards
- Build, at minimum, two valve bodies per hour
- Suggest improvements, help train new personnel, communicate all issues, work overtime when needed
- Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily
- Adhere to all safety rules, have great attendance and give it your all every day

Essential Functions:
- Must have an eye for detail
- Good dexterity and the ability to work with small components
- Must be able to read and understand verbal and written work instructions
- Ability to concentrate and maintain focus in a busy and loud environment
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus
- Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
- Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8 hours a day and under pressure at times
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
- Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
